Klay
Privacy
Klay collects as little as it can get away with. This page says exactly what that is, who else touches it, and how to have it removed.

What we store about you
Your email address, if you sign in. That is the whole account: Klay never stores a password, because sign-in works by emailing you a single-use link rather than by checking one.
Whether you have bought the course. This is one row saying that a payment succeeded, used to decide which lesson bodies unlock for you.
If you take a mock test, your attempt: when it started and ended, how it ended (submitted, out of time, quit or cancelled) and where you were, the answers you saved, the time you spent on each question, how many times you left the test window, and your score. Where a mock has a typed essay or email, what you wrote is saved too. Where it has a video answer, we store only that you recorded one and how long it ran - never the video. It is what lets the test carry on if your tab closes, and what your result is built from.
Nothing else about you is stored on our servers. We do not keep a record of which lessons you opened, how long you watched, or what you searched.
What stays in your browser
The light/dark setting, and - if you use the study timer - which lessons you have marked done and how many blocks you have finished. Both live in your browser's local storage. They are never uploaded, and clearing your browser data removes them permanently. The study page has a button that does the same thing.
On Learn, which video lessons you watched and how each topic's test went - your answers, your last and best score and how many tries - so the topic cards can show your progress, and the exam you picked, so the course shows its syllabus. It lives in your browser's local storage, is never uploaded, and clearing your browser data removes it.
If a mock test has a video answer (Mesa's pitch and "Why Mesa?"), it is recorded with your camera and microphone and kept only in this browser, so your result can play it back. It is never uploaded to Klay or anyone else, and clearing your browser data deletes it.
Who else processes your data
- Supabase
- Stores your email address and issues the sign-in link. Our authentication provider.
- Dodo Payments
- Takes the payment as merchant of record: the yearly pass, and the monthly subscriptions started before 23 October 2026. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Dodo's own checkout and are never sent to, seen by, or stored by Klay.
- Razorpay
- Processes the monthly renewals of subscriptions started on Razorpay between 17 and 22 October 2026. Its payment details are likewise never sent to, seen by, or stored by Klay.
- Vercel
- Serves this website and keeps standard request logs, including IP addresses.
- Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, X (Twitter) Pixel
- Measure traffic and advertising. All four are disabled outright if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal - that check runs before any of them load.
- Mixpanel
- Measures how the site is actually used - which pages get opened, which lessons get read, where people give up. Its events note when you ask the tutor something (how long the question was, not its words), which past papers you open, whether your first answer to a practice question was right, and when you start, resume, quit or finish a mock test, with its score - and, on Learn, when you finish a topic's test, with its score, and when you watch a video lesson to the end. On klayprep.com it also records a replay of the page itself: your clicks, your scrolling and what was on the screen, played back like a video so we can see where the site confuses people. That includes the questions you send the tutor and any photo you attach, once they appear on the page. What you type into a box is masked while you type it, and your email address is kept out of the recording. If you are signed in it is told your account's internal ID number, so that a visit on your phone and a visit on your laptop count as one person; it is never told your email address or your name. Signing out disconnects it. Like the three above, all of it is disabled outright if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
- YouTube
- Every lesson video is embedded through youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set advertising cookies until you press play. The videos are hosted by YouTube and belong to the channels that made them.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone other than the processors listed above, each of which is doing a specific job for us.
We do not email you unless you ask us to or we are answering you. There is no marketing list attached to buying the course.
Deleting your account
Email hello@klayeducation.com from the address you signed up with and ask. We will delete the account and the email address behind it. If you have bought the course, we keep the payment record itself, because tax law requires it - that record is a transaction, not a profile.
