Fifteen questions in four sets: a bar graph, a pair of line graphs, a pair of pie charts and a table, each followed by three or four questions that get harder as they go. The work is percentages, ratios and averages, with options close enough that rounding early costs the mark.
- Grouped bar charts
- Linked line graphs
- Pie charts with a missing slice

| Café | Jan | Feb | Mar |
|---|---|---|---|
| North | 12 | 15 | 18 |
| South | 20 | 20 | 24 |
| East | 9 | 10 | 15 |
| West | 16 | 15 | 20 |
Which café grew its orders by the largest percentage from January to March?
- A North
- B South
- C East
- D West
Show the answer
East. East goes 9 → 15, up 66.7%. North adds the same 6 (hundred) orders, but from a bigger base, so it's only 50%. South has the most orders, not the most growth.
In February, what share of all four cafés' orders did South take?
- A 25%
- B 30%
- C 33⅓%
- D 40%
Show the answer
33⅓%. February's total is 15 + 20 + 10 + 15 = 60. South's 20 of 60 is one third.
What were West's average monthly orders over the three months?
- A 16
- B 17
- C 18
- D 19
Show the answer
17. (16 + 15 + 20) ÷ 3 = 51 ÷ 3 = 17, in hundreds.
