Tap an option to answer. The first tap counts.

  1. Q1Easy

Find the part of the sentence that has an error, or choose 'No error': Riya speaks English / very fluent / and writes it well too.

    Correct answervery fluent

    Why

An action takes an adverb, not an adjective.

'Speaks' is an action, so how she speaks needs 'very fluently'; 'writes it well' already uses the adverb.

So the error is in 'very fluent'.

  2. Q2Easy

Choose the option that correctly fills the blank: The camera on my new phone is ______ than the one on my old phone.

    Correct answermuch better

    Why

'Better' is already a comparative, so it takes no 'more'.

To strengthen a comparative use 'much' or 'far'; 'very' goes only with the plain form, as in 'very good'.

So the new camera is 'much better'.
