A student asks Klay for five IPMAT questions and picks 5 on a sets question; Klay says the answer is 15. They tap Solution and the whiteboard writes the solution step by step, draws a Venn diagram and boxes 15. They open the lesson on Venn diagrams: a video and working notes. They read IPMAT Indore Paper 1 in Previous Year Questions, then ask for five more questions and answer two real past IPMAT questions correctly. It ends on an illustrative score of 312 out of 360.

IPMAT Indore 2025 · Circles

A circle touches the y axis at (0, 4) and passes through the point (−2, 0). Then the radius of the circle is

  1. A 4
  2. B 5
  3. C 6
  4. D 7
Intuition

Touching the y axis at (0, 4) puts the centre level with that point: (h, 4).

And the radius is just how far that centre is from the axis.

The Trap

4 is how high the circle touches, not its radius. That is option A.

Fast Way

The centre is as far from (−2, 0) as it is from the axis:

(h + 2)² + 4² = h²

Clean Way

h² + 4h + 20 = h² → h = −5

AnswerB. r = 5

Then the lesson. Every board ends on the concept it tested, taught the way a good tutor would at your side, so the same question never catches you twice.
